I drive a 1.4 megane at the moment,



but i just had a spanking new astra on hire 1.4 16V, standard model, v.nice :thumbs:


I don't think there is a thread like this already, why not?, we are all engine loving greaseballs are we not?

I drive a nice Astra Estate 1.7tdi 16v :) For a diesel it goes well and handles better than the vectra :)

Cars I've had range from a 1.0ltr Nova with a full mainly home made bodykit and an enormas spoiler (which X-cal will vouch for :p) Also had a focus, 306, Rover 200, Ford Escort, Ford KA and Im thinking of buying myself in the near future a Fiat Punto Sporting 1.2 16v with 6 speed gear box (SUCH COOL LITTLE CARS!!!) :)

You've had a Focus, 306, Rover 200 etc so how did you end up with an Astra?! How come that 1.2L Fiat is 6 speed? That just defeats the point of havin 6 gears

Coz I love Mkii Astra Cabs, great cars and im running my own bussiness so Im a bit short on wonger :p

also the punto sporting is what you call a "Pocket Rocket" incredibly impressive performance from a tiny little engine. The 6 speed Gear box helps that coz its close ratio.
