from what i've read this new installment in the GTA series greatly improves upon it's predecessor! with the inclusion of new vehicles like motorcycles and helicopters, rockstar north has definitely stuck by it's code of better, broader, badder. but new vehicles are just the beginning. big improvements in pedestrian and police AI will greatly deepen the imersion level of this game. police now lay out road spikes to burst your tires which greatly reduces the speed and handling of your vehicle. swat teams can now repel from hovering helicopters to take you out! or you can send them falling to their deaths with a well placed missle! Woo Hoo! if your not the cop killing type you can now steal a pizza delivery car and deliver pizzas throughout the city. the pay is shit but at least your not being shot at...

i've just brushed the surface of the new gameplay elements... there is going to be a lot more to this game! the only piss poor thing is that it isn't coming out for PC anytime soon. but judging by the texture and sound quality of the PC version of GTA3 over the PS2 version, i don't really mind waiting all that much. plus i still haven't discovered all there is to Liberty City even after 100+ hours of gameplay.

with all the great games coming out this quarter i'm sure my gaming time will be covered. GTA3: Vice City will just have to be a great addition to my PC next year.

oh praise the Lord... this game is coming out for PC... :thumbs:

all these new things just makes the game much more 'realistic'... shooting out tires so that the vehicle handles erratically... shooting the driver thru the window... :D all sounds great... u haven't even mentioned a few new weapons, chainsaw, meat cleaver, beating cars with a bat, etc... altho u can only have 2 melee weapons...

I'll be eagerly waiting this game but till then, Wolf, Breed (most likely) and NHL 2003 will hold me over for a little while... this game looks killer...

tbh, i wasnt tht impressed with gta3.... sure it was visually stunnng, and it was fun for the first few hours but it just didnt hold me. BUT i love the idea of the chainsaw ( i hope u wernt jokin!)
will it have the same layout as vice city from gta1!?
tht wud be a great touch, seein what the ddevelopers think the original vice city looks like in glorious 3d! :D

By all accounts there are 100 vehicles to only 40 in the first and roughly 30 weapons..

also all areas are open from the start of the game i hear.

Oh yus, it will be the same!! With 90 degree corners and no variation in ground level, i cannot wait, w000t!!!! OMG!!!!

no demo cuz it's a PS2 game first... I expect PC will come out during the summer.. :bigcry:

hopefully they will prove me wrong and release it sooner of course...
