My favorate manga film would be AKIRA... followed by ghost in the shell. I like high budget high profile mangas thats why, ghost in the shell was too short anyway but had super music. Akira was somthing else...
My favorate series is... outlaw star. I only managed to see it when I was in the US. I need to watch more series shit. But I prefer movies.
Umm ya, they fly a spaceship.

Yeah those are quite funny. I think all manga / anime have valuable lessons to teach as they are inherantly quite serious.
You don't get jokes like that even in things like pokemon. Western animation and anime are on completely different levels.
Personally I think most western animation since the late 1960's has been a bit crap compared to the 1950's WB's classics. The stuff they churn out these days, pokemon & other cartoons derived from recent blockbuster films (eg the Mask) is up there with most liscened Games :rolleyes:
Some recent classics incl Dangermouse, The Simpsons, Dr Katz & Pixar's productions (Toy Story, Antz etc..)
re: The Japanese stuff...tbh I just never got it to it....not my thang, but from what I've seen it's good stuff, just not my taste :(

Pokemon is good. At least it's an origonal idea ( it was you know it just took AGES for them to get it out in the west ) Vry origonal when it came out in Jap land.
The only thing I dont like about pokemon is the marketing etc. But hey don't anyone not like the actual anime because of that.
I mean good animation, decent enough plot. It is basic anime but serves it's purpose.
At least it's helped to introduce thos yank children to one form on the Japanese animated arts. Not great not bad.
The kind of animation that is so shit it pisses me off is rubbish like "UBOS", the mummy animated series and err there are shitloads more. Especially ones based on movies... godzila animated series anyone ?

One rule of thumb is AVOID any Animated series based on a film IF it includes...
The old characters of the movie along with wannabe apprentices / kidz
This is what is called 'kash in'. They did it with Xmen :(
They also did it with ghostbusters with a fucking stupid 'all new and improved' 'trendy' style of animation. Here is a demonstration picture...
Also as a general rule of thumb 'extreme' usually mans 'shit. Natta.

Ghost in the Shell is my favourite anime movie, as for a series it would have to be Nadesico, closely followed by Evangelion.
There'e anime on the Sci-fi channel from midnight on thursdays :D

And ghost in the shell has full frontal nudity but where her pussy slit should be there is like nothing. Works for me anyway :)
Strangely enough those films don't portray their nudity as sexual.
Err but they are both mega violent. Akira is a gore fest. Watch it.

I got pretty much all of em on video and I think Urotsukidoji 2, (Legend of the demon womb) is the best. Its the sequal to Legend of the over fiend, and by far has the most sex in it and lots of violence. The storyline is good and all.

Fist of the northstar is superb.
I wen't to the archade and OMG there was fist of north star fighting sim where u bash pads.

It is a tiring arcade game and 4 sure if u had one in ur house u could be like a super soldier in a week or 2.

Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away (biggest selling Japanese movie) are the bestest :) - by a long way IMO. You must see these if u like anime :D

Akira, although the most famous and well known is still the best IMO. And yeah, the subtitled original works best for me.

Btw Anime is the animation of the manga,since manga are all books/comics ;) You can look it up if you don't believe me ;)
