the xbox version will be the best no contest, now just grab an S-controller cus the standard one is shite :p and jobs a good un :D
btw i played TS2 on NGC recently (PAL) and it ran surprisingly slow compared to the PS2 version, dunno why
still undecided... really cant make up my mind
To buy or not to buy.. thats the Q

I'm getting it on the XBox mainly so I can save home made maps on the hard disk - apart from that I don't think there's much difference between the PS2, GC or XBox versions .... guess it depends on which controller u like best ( I agree K.TroopA, the Controller-s is loverly :) )

well ive just played TS2 and given it a good 3 hr run and all i can say is.
its pap :(
the SP mode is dull, the levels are dis-jointed and sparse of enemies, and the story is well non existent really :/ The time er splitters theme is there to add some variety to the levels but as you go from one to the next, it just plain confusing what the fook is going on and who all these people are and it just doesnt gel. - poor level of immersion, you just dont care about the characters.
the graphics and sound are top but thats not enough
the MP mode is comprehensive, but i was after a stronger SP game tbh.
im well disappointed.
/me waits for 007 Nightfire :)
btw i rented it :D *phew*

Guys....
FPS shooters on the console just dunnae work. You need a mouse and keyboard :D
I bought Burnout2 for my PS2 and after a weekend playing it I am still hooked. Its in the style of outrun only with cool crashes. Its great fun - even more so in two player mode.
Well worth £30 to amazon for it.
Cheers

this is what i was gonna say....pc's are so much better at fps than consoles, fps are just not the same with a clumsy joypad.
timesplitters 2 looks fantastic but im not going to get it because of the above. :(

now this sort of game is definately better on a console. :D I played burnout on my GC and it was fucking the dogs spunk sacks! only gripe was i thought the graphics on the cars could have been detailed a bit better, but the game was so fast i guess it didn't really matter. might get burnout 2 but need to finish resi evil and mario first :o

Apart from single player FPS - pc's can't do em, maybe Half-Life. Certainly nothing as good as Halo/Goldeneye/Perfect Dark.
I agree with you Koopa , TS2 isn't that great in single player. MP with a few mates is great fun tho. Nightfire will be pants ... I think u'll have to wait for the next Perfect Dark on the XBox :D

Sorry war but they aren't that good imo
They are ok - but nothin beats the original quake :)
That rocked - and nothing on the console touches imo - atmosphere, speed, tension and above all - lots of action
