Those that haven't got it yet, it's here.

Participation crack. Get it Here (http://nog.servebeer.com/Kazaa_Participation_Hack_1.3.zip)

Overcomes the elitist/annoying/unfair_to_me participation level that kazaa awards to its users. The higher your participation level, the easier it is to get downloads. In fact, this download puts u at the front of most cues. Just use it till you've got your participation leval up to 1000 or whatever, then turn it off.
Don't leave It turned on.

Enable it, use the hack till your up to 1000 or whatever and then disable it again if you want. Your participation will stay at 1000 for a good while.:)

Actually it does work, and work well at least for now because most people havent heard about this hack.

Soon it will be posted on many forums just like this and it will be around all IRC channels and people will host it on kazaa itself. But I guess it'll work for the moment :)

Sharman networks who run kazaa will probably bring out a resolve before long as you say, but then another work around will be scripted, and so on, like all software. No matter how much money companys spend on security, there's always somone who will script patch's/cracks/hacks for the software. As Xatom said this hack is still relativly new and not that well known, so It should be ok for a while at least. When It stops working we just wait for the next version of the hack. 1.4 :)

I couldn't install that hack onto my Kazaa Lite (1.7x), it said I don't have version 2.0 (which isn't around in the Lite flavour yet).

Errrr Yes it is!

I have it!

But dont ask me where I got it from I cant remember!
But I know I didnt get it from Kazaa lite's webbo!
Unless the version I have someone has done this to it( but i am sure it says lite as it starts)


Download and run ad-aware from www.cnet.com

tell ad-aware to remove all found items, including cydoor (kazaa requires cydoor to function but we'll take care of that later)
at this point, if you try to run kazaa, it won't open.
now felch the cydoor dummy dll file. http://www.cexx.org/dummies.htm
unzip it and copy/paste the cd_clint.dll to your windir\system where the original dll file was located.
RUN KAZAA!
you should be ad-free and spyware-free. check the bottom left pannel of the kazaa screen were ads normally run. It should be blank.
If you run Ad-ware again, it should find ONLY the cd_clint.dll but it is a dummy file and isn't doing anything.
