Thanks for the update.

It has been suggested that some people may prefer to send us email rather than to post in the forums so we’ve set up a temporary email address for this.
1) Why do you want to discourage discussion of ideas? This makes us unable to comment on submitted ideas.
2) How soon do you expect to be able to give us the Legends end date? Is the plan to start the new round 7-14 days into May still on?
3) Will there be any game changes on Legends, and have you started thinking about this already or is it not a priority?

you assume people are emailing ideas, and not offers of help or requests for interviews etc :p

If it's for purposes other than suggestions, np with that. If so, they might want to specify as it's not clear from the blog post.

Regardless:

I'm having so much fun on Gen. Is just like back in the day. Haven't had so much fun since SO.

Hope these changes are coming to wol.

I'm sure many would prefer to send their suggestions straight to the developer rather than having them lost in the sea of flaming crap that guys like you Catwalk that have turned these forums into.

I'm not flaming suggestions comport. Are you suggesting that we should simply drop the Suggestions forum rather than seeking to improve it? For a good example of useless flaming, read this post.

i'm thinking you're having trouble reading english, catwalk.

"It has been suggested that some people may prefer to send us email rather than to post in the forums"
has no reference to discouragement of forum use by OMAC, and, to me at least, it seems rather specific.

"rather than having them lost in the sea of flaming crap"
is not "flaming suggestions." a sea of flaming crap is talking about useless posts, for the post part. Yes, your example of useless flaming may be good, as it's useless posts, but not all posts that are useless are flames. Some call it spam, the useless posts that do not contribute to the thread in any way, which misunderstood/misread posts may lead to, which in your previous two posts, seem to be.

.-. 4 day weekend though, must be nice. i only got a standard 2 day weekend.

I think you're the one with a reading problem. Spam and useless posts aren't flaming. Flaming refers to negative posts focused on bashing the idea or the author without a balanced perspective and etiquette. My post was quite clear, I'm concerned about the developers encouraging us to bypass the forum and not allow for ideas to be criticized. That's a step back, and probably more work for them.

Yes they were. Don't you remember the 380 post thread about it? I was very public about that matter.

I talked a lot with them in private too. Most of that was explanations of how the game worked, and suggestions of how to phrase announcements. I also had a hand in deciding changes past two rounds, under protest. I told them right away they should decide on their own, after public discussion. Both rounds they had done little a few days before eoa and they asked a handful of players for input. That was a result of poor planning and poor communications. That's one of the reasons I don't have faith in them anymore, although I guess the new developers should be judged on their own merits.

Are you interested in discussing the matter or just slinging mud?

Poor planning and stupidity is asking for input from specified players. They really have shown themselves to be completely clueless judging from your post, CW. They are just continuing in the same manner by asking for 'private input' via email. Can they not understand how they have directly shrunk the userbase from 1200 kingdoms under Mehul's last age to 750 now, they consistently show themselves to have learned nothing at all.
