Yay, some actual progress.

Haha.

Good blog post. That's the problem with letting everyone flap their gums, especially in this community. Good things turn sour just because the guys with the biggest mouths are talking.

Looks like you are settling in nice and keeping up week to week. Good job guys.

It's more a matter of this being a very established, mature community.
Mature in the sense that there's little actual development going on.

Plus we, the experienced players, seem to have a far greater grasp of the game than our old overseer, plus our two new ones.
Of course, the first one didn't want to learn, but these new dudes seem like they're actually interested for real in the game, so they'll figure it out soon enough.

Don't silence Brian. We want to hear from him too.

We wouldn't watch Sesame Street with just Bert or only follow the adventures of Butch Cassidy. Bring back Brian!

Thanks for the clarification about alliances. You should have known better than to post something without having any intention of actually implementing it, especially with this bunch that will fight you to the death about it. You lumped it in with a couple 'ok' ideas which is why we took it seriously.

That said, it looks like things have progressed quite a bit, so could we get an estimation on when you'll launch the beta?

Look, they said they could do it, cause they can if they need to. it is the antonym of cant do. so that doesnt mean they will do which is the antonym of will not. they were speaking of abilities and not of will. which goes to prove that many of you are freakos.

Fates Warning the problem you speak of is slowly changing as more and more players are using higher amounts of homes.

VT2, I dont think everyone is mature, nor experienced, i do believe those two traits are very seperate are rarely together in a player here. its never been old players versus new, experienced doesnt mean good. To compare lets say your opinions to the one's of CW for instance. which one is mature and experienced and actually knowledgable, and are those traits together?

To Sean and Brian..

will you be using frames with the new version?

I remember mention of possibly using other 'styles' or 'skins' for the game. When would that be introduced?

And a suggestion, I recently acquired the Utopia Metatron Plus addon for firefox. Some nice features that enhance the game and convience. Especially the links to kingdoms and
the auto fill in on the mystics and thievery page. Maybe some of these can be added since you are programming from scratch. I realize aesthetics are low priority at this point but it does make things a lot easier.
