The Nova-class starship is a type of Aligned Planets vessel currently in service. It is designed primarily as a science and scout vessel, used for long-term research and analysis after a region has been surveyed by larger explorer-type vessels.

The Nova design is a relatively moderate one; the ship is capable of Warp 8.32, and its weaponry comprises to multiple phasers and torpedo launchers.

One unique feature of the Nova is its Waverider shuttlecraft, an advanced atmospheric transport optimized for planetary surveys. This shuttlecraft is mounted on a special docking port on the dorsal side of the primary hull.

It would cost at least twice that much for the raw materials alone. Let alone the manufacturing costs.

It was at 300 billion originally, but it seemed to expensive, for all the guns sheilds and armor on it, these things get holes poked in it like it was wet paper, read the RP PNN liberates a new solar system, or osmthing like that, and see how easily the Unity gets picked apart.

It has little to do with weapon or armor quality. It's about sheer size. If it's made of something like Aerospace quality Titanium, which costs $3.24 per pound, your ship would need about ONE TRILLION DOLLARS of raw material. I don't think 300 billion is pushing it.
