Post Impending *Major* Downtime for July

ADVERTISEMENT:
Dear Rulers,

As you know, NS2 launched in beta several months ago and has suffered from intermittent stability issues, mostly relating to the growing in-game economy, diplomatic networks and Alliance complexities. On July 1st, we are going to be taking the game down in order to perform substantial work on its architecture and features. This will not be a simple process and we are not able to give a definite timeline for when the game will return.

To ensure that players do not lose out because of this interruption, we will be turning off new registrations and payment options this week.

We regret having to take such extreme action but unfortunately, the underlying design of the game has several major flaws which must be addressed otherwise it will become irreversibly broken. As soon as we have new information, you'll be informed. In the meantime, perhaps we could interest you in Utopia Kingdoms? It's a game which is heavily based on the management of a kingdom and its associated economy and military. Certainly not a carbon copy of NS2 but hopefully something to get involved with until NS2 returns. This is a link just for NS2 players: here

Regards,
The NS2 Team

I received that e-mail from the NS2 Devs today. Since I haven't seen a thread posted on it anywhere else I figured I would start one here so maybe Lydias or another Moderator could compile suggestions for things for the Devs to work on during the down time.

I won't spend any more time writing any suggestions until I receive some sort of affirmation that the developers intend to read it and reply. My time is too valuable to waste.

Personally, besides the bugs, I'm really enjoying the game in this format. I just hope they fix some of the issues with the glitches that frequent it to make it play smoother and not interrupt issues.

The game would be great... were it not for the bugs, the industry caps, and the dossier issues.

Huh? Only dealing with growing in-game economy, diplomatic networks and Alliance complexities ?

No fixing War to be logical?

Anyway,I understand that when NS2 is taken down, our current nations are gone forever unless we come back and 'recreate' it?Maybe it's a good thing since one of my industries hit 0.00 without any way of repairing the problem.
But that's only me....

That upsets me faintly, as I've secured a position of dominance in world 99, but oh well.

July 1st, not June 1st.

Now is the time for all good men to reap the benefits of constant war.
